R. Wayne Martin has held multiple positions, with the largest Wire Houses to Regional Banks, during his 30 years in the Financial Service Industry. He began his career as a Financial Advisor with The Robinson Humphrey Co. in Valdosta, GA, in the mid 1980’s. With the merger of Robinson Humphrey and Shearson Lehman Brothers, Wayne was asked to become the Director of West Coast Training, in Los Angeles, CA. Subsequently, Wayne held Branch Manager positions with various securities firms in Charleston, WV, Chicago, IL, Palm Beach, FL and Atlanta, GA. In 2009, he returned to St. Simons Island, as Director of Retail Investments, at Ameris Bank, charged with building a Brokerage Platform throughout their footprint in GA, AL, FL, and SC. In April of 2017, Wayne made the decision to become an Independent Advisor and Business Owner.
Wayne is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania. He received his AB Degree in Journalism in 1976, from the University of Georgia. In 2012 he was recognized as one of The Top 50 Bank Advisors* and The Top Twenty Program Managers** by Bank Investment Consultant Magazine. While at Ameris Bank, he was recognized in 2013 and 2014 as a member of Raymond James Executive Council.***
